I know it's been a little quite around here so I wanted to check in and post a little about life lately! I've spent the first part of the new year resting, organizing, and refocusing. Sometimes I think taking a little break makes me so much stronger to move forward and create even better content here on JANA STYLE. I've also spent some time brainstorming new ideas, working on some fun projects, and just getting a few things behind the scenes on track for the new year. I truly believe 2016 is going to be the best year yet!!! Here are a few things I've been working on....
KC WEDDINGS
I'm so excited to be writing for KC Weddings.com! I've been contributing behind the scenes planning as Nick and I get ready for our August wedding. I was totally shocked when I picked up the January issue and saw this gorgeous photo of us by Marissa Cribbs Photography and an awesome write up of our plans! You can read the first blog post {Here} and follow along as I share more behind the scenes planning as we go! I'll be sharing floral, catering, dress shopping, hair and makeup and more!
STYLED PHOTO SHOOTS
This winter styled fashion shoot has been in the works for some time now! It was such a fun concept "winter vintage" and I loved working with this team! I pulled a ton of second hand and vintage pieces to style the shoot and it was creatively really inspiring! I had a lot of fun hunting down the perfect layering items and statement pieces including faux fur hats, pearls, vintage coats, and more! I'm sure I will be sharing more of these gorgeous pics soon! PERSONAL STYLE CONSULTATIONS
I've met several amazing clients over the last couple weeks and have helped transform their closets for the spring season! I really enjoy helping my clients clean up, organize, and style their clothes so they feel better about what they have in their wardrobe. It's amazing how just eliminating what isn't working and re-assessing your ideal style can help improve the process of getting dressed and feeling great! That is why I really love offering personal styling services. It's a lot of fun for me to help other women find their style and feel great!
COFFEE + FRIENDS + FASHION Meetups
I've decided to keep the "Coffee + Friends + Fashion" Meetups that I started back in the fall going this year! I've met some incredible boss ladies working on blogs, styling, and freelance through this fun get-together and I really enjoy just sitting down with others working on similar projects and passions as me! It's great to get together and bounce ideas off each other, ask questions, and just get some support! Whoohoo! I've just started planning the next meet up and it's probably going to be sometime in March. Watch my Facebook page for updates and make sure to subscribe to my events!
GLAM GALS KC
Glam Gals KC has got to be one of the best things I've ever worked on! I'm so glad I met these talented ladies and so grateful for the Glam Gal events we have put together so far! Our goal this year is to keep creating fun workshops and girls night out events that help inspire other women to find their signature style! Between the five of us we have experience in event planning, makeup, hair, beauty, fashion, PR, and marketing. We want to continue to bring our skills together to help other women find their desired style in all areas of life by sharing our expertise and knowledge!
