Leopard, Pearls + Red Lipstick

Mixing in some red lipstick and leopard into my outfit today! Looking forward to this upcoming very busy week of Kansas City Fashion Week Parties and Shows! I'll also be meeting Rebecca Minkoff at Halls on the Plaza on Thursday! You can find info on that here! Such a fun and exciting week ahead!

 Sweater {Olivia Moon} Skirt {Maurices Similar} Bag {Phillip Lim for Target} Leopard Flats {Target} Sunnies {Hello Cheeseburger}

I've been obsessively carrying my Phillip Lim for Target bag ever since I got it!

Love these beautiful fall days! Perfect temperatures for wearing skirts and light weight sweaters

Hello Cheeseburger Sunnies for a beautiful fall day

Leopard flats are on trend for fall. They are a great transition shoe from sandals and wedges. I've also been wearing crew neck sweaters quite a bit during these beautiful mild temp days. Embellished collars are a fun way to dress up a casual look!

I will be sad to put some of my fun skirts away for the winter, so I am holding on to them for as long as possible.

What items from your summer wardrobe will you be transitioning into your fall/winter wardrobe?

Ipsy + Benefit LashBash Party!

A few weeks ago I was one of 1,000 lucky ladies chosen to host a Lash Bash Party for myself and nine friends from Ipsy and Benefit Cosmetics! The Lash Bash parties were to celebrate the amazing "They're Real" Mascara! Each party was held on the same day, September 21st!

Ipsy and Benefit sent me a party kit full of games, decor, swag bags, and of course makeup for me and my guests to try!

It was such a good excuse for me and my closest girlfriends to plan a girls night in! We are all over the place these days with our families, jobs, and significant others, that we rarely get to all hang out together and just have FUN!

Pre-Party prepping! Getting the table all pretty for my guests to arrive.

I was so excited to surprise my friends with swag bags!

The snack table was out of control with good food! Everyone brought all kinds of snacks to munch on while we hung out, talked, laughed, and tried out our new Benefit makeup.

"Laughter is the Best Cosmetic!" -Benefit Co-Founders Jean and Jane

Delicious Vanilla Bean Cupcakes made festive with "They're Real" Mascara of course!

Bubble Gum Champagne Sparklers were a huge hit!

If you are unfamiliar with Benefit Cosmetics, you should read about the history of the company here! This fun, creative, and innovative makeup company has some awesome products and the best names to go with them!

Ipsy...beauty by you, is an online website that allows you to discover new beauty products based on your personal preferences. A beauty stylist will pick new products that you may like to try before committing to buying the full sized product. You can also subscribe to receive $10 "Glam Bags" once a month filled with new products.

I got plenty of party planning ideas from Pinterest, including this fun idea with rock candy and champagne! YUM!!! This is a great holiday idea too!

 My party swag bags were filled with three benefit products to try out, the They're Real Mascara, Benetint cheek and lip stain, and Sugarbomb lip gloss (which I really love!) and just for fun I gave each of my friends a new nail color and nail file.

As a party hostess I was gifted with some full size products to try, one of them being the new
They're Real! Mascara

Each of us tried out our new mascara and lip gloss! We all loved the way our eyes looked! I have such beautiful friends :)

Thank you IPSY & BENEFIT COSMETICS for choosing me as a Glambassador and Lash Bash Hostess! I had a great time with my girlfriends and loved the new makeup!

Thank you to one of my besties Candace McRae of McRae Marketing and Design for taking such gorgeous pictures!

Layering and Coffee...Fall is here!

This weekend I enjoyed my Saturday morning by stopping by one of my favorite little coffee shops in Downtown Lee's Summit, Whistle Stop Coffee Shop. I tried my first maple salted caramel coffee of the season, and it was delicious! My sister and I spent the morning sipping coffee and browsing the store windows in the cooler temps. It was a perfect weekend morning to spend outside!

Sweater {Old Navy} Jeans {Seven Jeans c/o TJ Maxx} Collared Shirt {TJ Maxx} Necklace {Groop Dealz} Pave Link Bracelet {Target} Shoes {Boutique 9 c/o Plato's Closet} Purse {Thrift Store}

J.Crew inspired necklace

LC Lauren Conrad for Kohls Sunnies and Tan Satchel last weekend's Thrift Store find for $3.00!

I'm excited to start layering more for fall and crew neck sweaters are a perfect style to start transitioning into your wardrobe! Old Navy had several styles at a great $10 price! Boyfriend jeans are always comfortable and look really cute with this look. I got these last year at TJ Maxx.

What are you started to wear more of now that temperatures are starting to cool?.

Labor Day Weekend

It's been a very fun and busy summer and it is bittersweet to see it go! I love summertime so much, but I am a little anxious for fall. I've spent my labor day weekend with family and friends enjoying our last summer BBQs and pool time. I have also spent time scouring Pinterest for fall inspiration and cleaning my closet out for a change in season. I think I am finally feeling like I'm ready for that crisp air and cool fall breeze.
