My career in fashion began when I started working in women's apparel in 2004. I loved the challenge of helping customers find an outfit that made them feel special and beautiful. My passion for putting together outfits and visual displays in the store made me realize I had found a career path and I wanted to do more with it. I decided to move to Chicago and enrolled myself in fashion school to focus on getting my degree in Fashion Merchandising Management. I spent a year in Chicago learning, not just about fashion but also growing as a young girl by myself in a BIG city! After spending time in Chicago, I wanted to come back to Kansas City. I finished my degree here and also received a business entrepreneurship certificate through JCCC and the Kauffman program in 2009.

By 2011, I had spent several years working in retail management, and I wanted to learn more about Styling, Marketing, PR, and really get into the "business" of fashion.  I volunteered for Kansas City Fashion Week and joined Fashion Group International  to network with leading industry professionals here in Kansas City. I started my blog in April of 2012 as a way to document my growing involvement in local fashion events and to share my love of styling. I had no idea how many great people I would meet and the amazing opportunities that would come about through my blog!

My blog has become a huge passion of mine and I appreciate all who visits and reads!

XO, Jana
