{Outfit Post} Printed Jogger Pants

Printed pants are a major trend! You will probably see me wearing this trend throughout the Spring and into Summer. This pair of jogger pants are so comfy and I love the fun pattern. I am all about being comfortable and trendy at the same time. A simple solid tee, fun statement jewelry, and a pair of strappy heels dress up the look! Perfect for a warm night out for dinner and drinks on a patio! Easy breezy and comfy.

{Outfit Post} Color Love

I've made a goal to start trying to wear a few new color combinations. I need to be more daring! Spring is the perfect time to bring some brighter pieces into my wardrobe. I put together this fun color block look with orange and green and just for fun added these amazing water color print heels!

I love wearing midi skirts this spring! They are so comfy and just the right length. I was lucky and found this one while thrifting. I love the lightweight fabric and the subtle print.

What goals do you have for your spring/summer wardrobe? Are you incorporating any new colors into your style?

{Outfit Post} Go Blog Social Day Two

On Day Two of Go Blog Social I was still pretty tired, but I managed to get a few hours of sleep and was ready to take on the day. I think I was running on mostly excitement , adrenaline, and Starbucks the whole weekend :)  Once again, I was hoping to look polished but still wanted to make sure I was comfortable throughout the day of presenters and networking. I decided to wear a blazer with a comfy top and swapped out my heeled boots for a pair of flats -- definitely made a good choice there!

One of the best parts about attending Go Blog Social was getting a chance to hang out with my blogger friends and also meeting so many new friends!

{Outfit Post} Pretty Spring Pastels

Spring Pastels are my absolute favorite right now! Shades of pastel in any color are one of Spring 2014's biggest trends. This versatile trend can be worn to work, out to brunch, or for a relaxing day out shopping with friends. I wore this pink and purple combo for Easter dinner on Sunday. I love the flirty and feminine mix of the two colors.

I can't get enough fun statement jewelry! I love adding bright piece to a solid outfit for extra color and texture. A pop of gold adds a little bit of sparkle and can really dress up an outfit.

A few nights ago, I attended the Fashion Group International's Fall 2014 Trend Presentation. I previewed all the upcoming trends from New York, Milan, and Paris, Fashion Weeks. Pastels are such a huge trend that you will see them carried over into Fall 2014! Designers such as Peter Pilotto, Jil Sander, Narciso Rodriguez,  Derek Lam, and Lacoste all highlighted pastels in their fall collections.

Do you have a favorite color combo? Are you wearing the Pastel trend this spring?
Let me know! :)

{Outfit Post} Go Blog Social Day One

I'm not going to lie, I was a little tired on day one of Go Blog Social. I was super excited and didn't really sleep too well the night before. I had my outfit planned a few days before, and luckily I had planned on wearing jeans. I wanted to make sure I was comfy yet trendy which worked out good because it ended up being kind of cold that day too.

Perforated leather is a huge trend for Spring 2014. You have probably seen it everywhere from shoes, to purses, to clothing. I found these super cute booties at Target! and I have to say I am really excited to style them with Jeans and Dresses for Spring! Check out these other perforated leather trends from Who What Wear.

I added a pop of color to my outfit with this fuchsia bag that literally saved my life during Go Blog Social. I had all of my essentials (camera, tablet, notebook, pens, extra battery, phone charger, water bottle,  lip gloss, etc.) tucked into it, and it wasn't too bulky or heavy to carry. The cross body strap was also incredibly helpful.

{Outfit Post} Pepperologie Brunch

A sunny spring day spent brunching with other bloggers is always a good day!  The exhaustion from Go Blog Social weekend had definitely set in by the time I made it to the Pepperologie Brunch, but I was not going to let it keep me from having a good time! I made it to brunch right on time and tried to keep my outfit simple and comfy with this pink polka-dot top and my favorite skinny jeans.

{Blogger Brunch} Pepperologie KC with Style and Pepper

I was so excited when I heard that Style and Pepper was hosting a Pepperologie Brunch in Kansas City! I had seen past photos and blog recaps from events she has hosted before and always hoped she would bring a Pepperologie to KC! Pepperologie is a hands on workshop that features creative and practical lessons. The brunch was a smaller version of the usual workshop and featured two hands on lessons from Emily of Emmy-Ray Handmaker of Things and Jamie from Jamie Miller Hair Parlour

Mimosas, Bloody Mary's, and a plethora of amazing breakfast options were served at The Farmhouse located near the River Market. (300 Delaware Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64105). The food was amazing and the atmosphere of the restaurant was so great! It was perfect for our table of bloggers to chat and snap pictures.

If you remember, back in  November I was lucky to win the Style and Pepper Pinterest Giveaway and flew to New York to spent the day shopping with Jessie! We had such a great time hanging out and checking out all the fun stores in NY, so I was super excited to see her again! She is such a fun, genuine, and easy going person. I adore her!

.
Jessie {Style and Pepper} started the brunch off with a confidence building activity. She asked each of us to take two pieces of pink paper and write down the one thing that we felt the most confident about in ourselves. On the other piece of paper write down our "Meanie Mongers" the thing that we are the least confident about with ourselves, or the thing that holds us back from being our best. At the end of the brunch she took all the "Meanie Mongers" and ripped them up into tiny pieces. She asked us all not to focus on those negatives that keep us from being our best, but instead to keep those positive things in prospective. It's so good to hear that everyone feels that way sometimes!

The beautiful center pieces were gifts for each person to take home!

Emily {Handmaker of Things} showed us how to make beautiful arrangements from pre-packaged flowers! I couldn't wait to go home and try out the tips I learned from her. In fact, I have made two arrangements already from flowers I've picked up from the floral shop at the Grocery store! Check out her blog with all the details {HERE}

Next, we all learned some Spring hair tutorials from Jamie Miller Hair Parlour. Just a few tools can make a ton of fun hairstyles. Dry Shampoo, Bobbie Pins, a Teasing Brush, and Styling Pomade were the only things needed to create some fun up-dos and side braids. NO hot tools required! I love that! Of course, Jamie made it seem effortless because she is a Pro but, I am determined to work some more side braids, and deep side parts into my hair routine.

So glad that Lauren {Classy and Fab Girl} and Caitlin {Gussied Up} could make it to the brunch too!

{Outfit Post} Glaming Up My Military Vest

Why can't this crazy Midwest weather figure itself out?!? I woke up to snow flakes this morning...ahhhhgg! Well at least we had a beautiful day on Friday and Saturday right? Luckily, I was able to get out and enjoy it. I spent the weekend trying to catch up on a few things and just taking some time for R&R. I took a nice long walk with my pup, got some spring cleaning done, enjoyed a dinner night out with my BF and his family, and had a yummy brunch on Sunday morning with my friend Teisha. Hopefully this little reminder of winter won't last long and we can all get back to enjoying the spring sunshine :)

Lately my weekend looks have been comfy & casual. This military vest has been on my wish list for a while now and I finally broke down and got it!  It's a great spring layering piece and military inspiration is once again a go-to trend for Spring.

I added a pop of red to this look with my comfy flats and  this "On Fire Red" lipstick. Have you purchases a fun new shade of lipstick yet? If you aren't sure about wearing a bright shade, try purchasing a more inexpensive lipstick from the drugstore so you can give it a try without spending too much. I really like the Maybelline colors. Here are some tips from Lauren Conrad for picking out the best shade for your complexion.

Hope you all had a great weekend!
