#BeRadiant with Demi Lovato on World Tour!

Last Tuesday night, I was invited by Tampax the official sponsor of the Demi Lovato World Tour, to be a special guest to her concert at the Sprint Center in Kansas City! Of course I couldn't resist a night out on the town and a concert too! I enlisted my sister for a fun girls night out and we headed to the show.

Demi was recently named by MTV among the Best Dressed at the Teen Choice Awards! She is such a fierce performer and is looked to as a "Wear What You Want" kind of girl with a strong sense of confidence and style. I love her risk taking, no fear attitude when it comes to changing her hair styles too! I think the best fashion moments come from taking risks and she is definitely not afraid to do so. She has a rock girl vibe but still knows how to keep it classy and I love that about her!

Demi is known as a teen star but honestly, I was blown away by her strong stage presence and very mature message she speaks through her songs and the show she brought with her. She is very passionate about giving back and living a life of purpose. That was very clear to me when she brought  Spencer West out to share his story with the audience before she took the stage. He shared his inspiring story of living his life as a "Warrior" repeating the lyrics to Demi's song as testament to the journey he has taken accomplishing many things no one ever thought he could.

Before the show I was invited to the Be Radiant Closet to check out some of Demi's looks and see the gorgeous red Lanvin gown she wore down the red carpet at the MTV Video Music Awards! It was stunning!! I remember seeing her wearing it on TV and thinking to myself that she was absolutely flawless and one of my favorite red carpet looks that night! It was fun to see the dress in person and I'm sure she loved wearing it!

It was so fun checking out the Be Radiant Closet and Lounge before the show!

Demi is an artists who leaves everything she's got on the stage. She rocked it out!!!!

{Denim Guide} 4 Jeans for Every Occasion

Today I'm going to show you 4 pairs of jeans that you should own for every occasion. They are the best styles to get you from Day to Night and Office to Play. If these are the only 4 pairs of jeans you own, you will be set! The best part is, they are all different styles so you can work them into your wardrobe with ease and create several new looks.

Dark Flare Jeans -- Best For Work
 Dark washed flare jeans create a polished and professional look. This style of jean works well with blazers and more structured tops. The flared fit looks best with a heeled shoe or boot making them ideal for causal Friday. When you are purchasing a darker washed jean for work, make sure they don't have any holes and distressed rips on the pocket and hems. If you want to keep your denim as dark as possible, wash them inside out. This will help keep the washer from stripping away the dark dye from the fabric as quickly. I've heard of adding a full teaspoon of table salt when you wash them for the first time. This will help set the dye to the fabric.

Faded Skinny Jeans -- Best for Casual Day Out
Faded skinny jeans are my go-to for a day out and about running errands or shopping. They are always a favorite in the fall especially because they are the best jeans to pair with boots. They look great with casual tops and jackets too! I love a pair in medium blue wash with a little bid of whiskering or fading on them. I think a great pair of skinny jeans should last you several seasons.

Guess Jeans {c/o Macy's at Summit Fair} Plaid Flannel Top {c/o Charlotte Russe at Summit Fair} Black Double Lined Jacket {c/o Charlotte Russe at Summit Fair} Necklace {Francesca's} Gray Booties {Maurices}

Light Wash Distressed Jeans -- Best for Weekend Brunch
Distressed and faded out jeans are perfect for the weekend! I love a comfy worn in pair of jeans that feel casual yet trendy. My distressed jeans are perfect paired with fun tops and easy, breezy, flowy kimonos. I love to pair these jeans with boots and Converse tennies for all my weekend running around. Usually, a pair of light wash denim has a much softer feel because they have less dye in the fabric. They tend to be much more comfortable than my darker jeans and ideal for a weekend brunch with friends.

Silver Jeans {c/o Maurices at Summit Fair} Floral Kimono {c/o Charlotte Russe at Summit Fair}Cream Sweater {c/o Charlotte Russe} Necklace {c/o Charlotte Russe at Summit Fair} Ring {c/o Charlotte Russe at  Summit Fair} Purse {Maurices at Summit Fair} Shoes {Maurices at Summit Fair}
Black Skinny Jeans {Loft at Summit Fair} Gray Sweater {c/o Charlotte Russe at Summit Fair} Necklae {c/o Charlotte Russe at Summit Fair} Gray Booties {Maurices at  Summit Fair} Purple Clutch {Charming Charlie}
Classic Black Skinny Jeans -- Best for Date Night
You can't go wrong with a classic pair of black skinny jeans. They are probably the most versatile pants ever! You can dress them up with heels and a dressy top or you can make them casual with boots and a comfy sweater. They are perfect for date night because they are denim, yet they look polished. I live in my black pair of skinny jeans from Loft!

I put together all of these looks by shopping the fabulous stores at Summit Fair Shopping Center

For every $250 spent at any combination of stores in the month of September you will be entered to win $500 in the Fall Into Fashion Sweepstakes! WhOOHOO!!!! The stores at Summit Fair meet anyone's budget and style!

Sweet Child O' the 90's

I am a 90's girl. I grew up watching Clarissa Explains it All, Saved by The Bell,  Blossom, and Beverly Hills 90210 and like most kids growing up in the early 90's, I watched MTV like every second I could get away with it! (Hello, I am still like the biggest Mariah Carey fan ever!) I was incredibly influenced as a kid by the world of  music and fashion. The 90's were my first memories of imitating the styles I loved and being influenced by what my older cousins and the girls on Full House were wearing. I have a very special place in my heart for the go with the flow, unpolished,---throw it together like you don't care --- looks that inspired me through the early 90's.

Plaid Shirt {c/o Charlotte Russe @ Summit Fair} Leather and Lace skirt {c/o Charlotte Russe @ Summit Fair} Gray T-shirt {Old Navy} Necklace {Maurices similar here} Bracelets {a bunch of different ones I had all put together} Bag {Rebecca Minkoff c/o Tulip Boutique} Sunglasses {Loft} Shoes {Maurices}

Don't get me wrong there were definitely some fashions and styles from the 90's that I wouldn't go back to, but there are several that are making a huge comeback. Overalls, Choker Necklaces, High Waisted Denim, Baby Tees and Crop Tops, Slip Dresses, and Birkenstocks. If you take a walk through the current retail stores you will see a ton of these trends. From 90's grunge to preppy street style you will see a little bit of influence in most of the current stores.

I gave the 90's inspiration a rewind with this fun look. I tied flannel around my waist, pulled on my chunky heels, and added leather with lace. These trends are sure signs that the 90's are still alive and well.

What do you think? Will you be incorporating the 90's vibe into your Fall wardrobe?

Favorite Fall Accessories

I'm so excited to finally be able to layer up my outfits and enjoy the beautiful temperatures in Kansas City with a fun scarf or cardi. I'm a girl who loves to layer and can't live without a great handbag, so what better way than to show you how I've been styling my pre-fall outfits. If you haven't already perused the handbag department in Macy's at Summit Fair I highly recommend it! They have so many options and brands for the best must-have fall "It" bags! I was very impressed with the beautiful selection.

Denim Dress {c/o Maurices at Summit Fair} Plaid Scarf {c/o Maurices at Summit Fair} Micheal Kors Jules Drawsting Crossbody {c/o Macy's at Summit Fair}
A huge trend in handbags this season is the drawstring bucket bag. This mini version is the perfect size! I love the over the shoulder look but you can also wear it as a cross-body too. I also like to add a light weight scarf like this plaid one to my look. The temps are not quite cold enough for a heavy scarf so instead, I look for a scarf made from light weight breezy material. It's an easy and comfortable way to make your outfit look very fall ready.

In the summertime, I tend to carry smaller cross-body bags that are lighter weight and keep my hands free in the go, go, go busy summer months of travel. Once the cooler months hit I always tend to navigate back towards a larger tote bag. Something about the crisp weather and extra things I need to carry around with me brings me back to a bag with much more space. This gorgeous cognac bag is a perfect Fall color and style.

I love a look that can be both dressy and casual. I have been wearing this cute long sweater so much lately! This Fossil bag is a must have for Fall. The color is perfect and the size of the bag is great for everyday use. I love the smaller outside pocket too! A bag like this can be easily transitioned back into Spring because of the versatile color and style.

This look is one of my favorites! A graphic tee is a perfect layering piece for jackets and cardigans. I would suggest getting a few to add to your Fall wardrobe. This one caught my eye because of the metallic lettering and I loved the phrase "Joie De Vivre" Joy Of Life. I added a very cute newsboy cap and statement necklace to dress up the look! Another trend in handbags this season is the two-colored or two-toned tote bags. This one with the navy blue and gray looks very classic and the shape and handle are perfect!

Tweed Jacket {c/o Maurices at Summit Fair} Graphic Tee {c/o Maurices at Summit Fair} Necklace {Maurices at Summit Fair in store only but love this one!} Modern Skinny Jeans {Loft at Summit Fair} Shoes {DSW at Summit Fair} Handbag {c/o Macy's at Summit Fair} Newsboy Cap {c/o Macy's at Summit Fair}

Don't forget you can get all of these looks by shopping at Summit Fair! In the month of September every $250 spent at any combination of stores gets you entered to win $500!

Summer to Fall

Kansas City has had the most perfect weather the last few days. The sunshine has been shining and the temps have felt perfect for Fall. It's time to start thinking about taking your favorite Summer pieces and working them into your fall wardrobe. Printed leggings have been a huge trend this Summer and I plan on working them into my Fall wardrobe seamlessly. The great thing about leggings is that they are perfect for booties or boots!

Top {Francesca's @ Summit Fair} Leggings {Maurices @ Summit Fair} Hat {Target sold out similar Charming Charlie} Black Bag {Target sold out similar Charming Charlie} Shoes {Old Navy}

Summer was all about sandals, printed leggings, and my favorite straw hat.

Turning this outfit into a Fall go-to look just took a few key layering pieces and a switch of my accessories. A great color to incorporate into your fall wardrobe is a deep wine color, like this satchel bag.

I fell in love with this long sweater as soon as I saw it! It's perfect for Fall because it's thin enough to layer without being bulky and I adore the length! I can't wait to pair this with jeans and boots as soon as it gets a little cooler.

One fall must have accessory is the infinity scarf because it's the perfect accessory to pair with sweaters and jackets.

Do you need some help transitioning your summer wardrobe into Fall? I can help with that!

Don't forget when you shop at Summit Fair during the month of September every $250 spent at any combination of stores you can enter to win $500!!!
