I am so excited to share this giveaway from Erin Paige Designs! I absolutely adore her and couldn't be more excited to be giving away one of her beautiful pearl necklaces! Erin's work has been featured on KC Live and has also appeared in the pages of This is KC magazine. She presented her "Art Meets Fashion" collection last September at Kansas City Fashion Week and has just been selected to show at the West 18th Street Fashion Show in June! She is a truly genuine and loving person and she designs with a passion to spread kindness and love to those who wear her pieces.

I paired the "Cluster of Pearls" necklace with one of my favorite dresses. I love pastels and I can't get enough of this color! Pink and light blue are such a pretty combination for a fresh spring look!

{Blogger Brunch} hosted by Hello Cheeseburger, The Adored Life, and Tulip

On Saturday morning I sipped mimosas, dined on a fabulous brunch, and talked all things blogging with some of Kansas City's blogging ladies at Vivilore. Vivilore is a quite and quaint little cottage retail space filled with antiques and artwork as well as a restaurant/bar in the Englewood Arts District of Independence, MO.  The small get together was hosted by Jennifer of Hello Cheeseburger , Alissa of The Adored Life and Robin from Tulip Boutique! As you know I am in love with HC and equally in love with Alissa! Both ladies are fantastic and I'm so glad they joined together to put on this brunch with a group of blogger friends.

{What I Wore} KCFW Saturday Afternoon Show

For the first runway show of KC Fashion Week on Saturday afternoon I wore this amazing emerald green dress I picked up from Loft at the Legends Outlets of Kansas City. I was super lucky to be asked by the LOKC if they could dress me for the runway shows! I spent the Saturday before fashion week shopping for just the right outfit and my fashion week essentials. This dress immediately caught my eye and is one of my absolute favorite colors. It looks good on just about everyone and is perfect for spring! I paired it with a radiant orchid clutch, a sparkly gold belt, some statement jewelry, and my go to nude shoes. The weather on Saturday was absolutely gorgeous and it felt so good to be wearing a dress and sunnies to Union Station.

I am in love with this fold over clutch I found at Charming Charlie. It has an amazing amount of room in the inside and even fit my fold up slipper flats to change into after the show...fashion week is killer on my feet :) I like to have a flat shoe to change into before heading home.

Thank you Sandy from Sandy a la Mode for taking my photos! Check out her amazing style over on her blog too!

Here are some pics from my shopping spree as I searched the stores at Legends Outlets for my perfect outfits!

A few fun things I tried on  at Charming Charlie - I loved the stripe and floral top. It would be a great summer look with white denim.

How cute is this backup battery with the chevron print!?! Fashion Week is non-stop social media and I always need extra power for my phone! Definitely snatched this cute accessory up and so glad I did. I used the 2 hours of backup power throughout fashion week.

Pastels are a huge trend for spring! I noticed all the stores had teals, peaches, golds, blush, and light purple displayed. These necklaces and scarves are from Forever 21

I fell in love with these patterned Guess pumps at Off Broadway Shoes! Perfectly on trend prints and colors. I want all four pairs!

What are your favorite spring trends? Pastels? Mixed patterns? Floral? Nautical? Let me know, I'd love to hear from you :)

{What's In Your Closet} featured on L is for Lacey!

I was so excited when Lacey from L is for Lacey asked me if she could come take pictures of my closet for her blog. When I moved a couple of months ago I got a new spacious closet that is probably half the size of my bedroom...seriously LOVE it! I haven't perfected the organization of it all yet, but I was super excited to share with her some of  my favorite things! Check out the post she wrote about me and my closet and make sure to follow her blog. Thank you Lacey for the fun photo shoot!

KCFW Designer Presentations & Trunk Show

On Friday night I attended the Kansas City Fashion Week Designer Presentations at AIA event space. A select group of designers previewed  two to three looks before the KCFW Runway shows. It was great to be able to talk with each of the designers about their inspiration for their collection and to learn about their design background. I also got an up close look at the fabrics and construction of the pieces before they hit the runway.

Andrea Marie Long Designs

I am a serious fan of Andrea Marie Long. I really loved her collection last season and was excited to see what she had in store this time! I loved her mix of hounds-tooth, plaid, and tweed, with the pop of fur!...Amazing! She always accessorizes each look so well. She definitely has an eye for perfecting an entire look before it goes down the runway!

Kimberly Ann by Kimberly Gottschalk

A new designer to Kansas City Fashion Week this season is Kimberly Ann. Her line is a mix of Men's and Women's fashion. She loved the challenge of designing both for this collection, but she ultimately wants to end up designing only Menswear.  I liked the leather details of these three pieces, especially under the collars, on the sleeves,  and the finger-less gloves. I got a Hunger Games vibe from these three pieces so I was excited to see the rest of the collection.

Oblivion Clothing Designs by Nataliya Meyer

The Oblivion Clothing Designs were all so gorgeous. The gowns I  was able to see at the presentation were all very detailed. I noticed several dresses with embroidery, sparkles, sequins, and beautiful draping.

ByWhitney by Whitney Rorah

I was very impressed with Whitney Rorah. These two dresses were absolutely gorgeous. The pink dress had over 100 handmade roses with each edge burned to make a subtle curl and darkened shaded edge. The end result is a trail of beautiful roses.

Heidi Herrman

Heidi Herrman's collection has a retro glam vibe that I love. The patterns on the fabrics immediately caught my eye as I entered the designer showcase. The deep burgundy and green patterns met perfectly at each seam. There is a flawless craftsmanship in the construction of these garments that is easy to see.

Architexture by John and Christina Moncke

John and Christina Moncke are Architexture, a  husband and wife design team from KC . They have returned for a second season of Kansas City Fashion Week. Their designs consist of familiar silhouettes with unusual fabrications. I noticed on each garment in the collection there is a small detail of a gray stripe on the bottom hem. It is the signature of detail on Architexture's garments that makes them unique.

Keefe Cravat by Jordan Williams

Check out Keefe Cravat's Kick Starter page. He is working towards getting funding for is Bow Tie line. {Watch Now}

My blogger gal pals and I had a great time looking over the previews for the big shows!

Spring 2014 Kansas City Fashion Week Kick-Off Party at Standard Style

Last night's Kick-off Party for Kansas City Fashion Week was so much fun! I love the excitement before the shows begin and getting the chance to talk with designers and friends is always so fun! I was really excited to check out the newly remodeled Standard Style Boutique on the Plaza. I couldn't wait to check out the new Standard Beauty Bar! So many great products and brands are available in this store location. It is defiantly a gem of Kansas City!

Beautiful Lipstick Shades from Jouer Cosmetics

Fellow KC Bloggers Curvy In KC and B8sics! We always have so much fun together! Check out both of these Ladies' blogs if you haven't yet!

Project Runway star Laura Kathleen attended the Kick-Off party! She had a small trunk show of some pieces of her current colection and also her jewelry collection.

Laura Kathleen's Love Armour necklaces

Laura Kathleen Cuff Bracelets

I really loved this striped vest. It had a small peplum hem and caped sleeves. This would be perfect over a few of my dresses.

The displays in Standard Style are very clean and modern. I love the way the store was arrange by color. The blue section towards the back of the store was one of my favorites. I'm dying to get some more blue in my wardrobe for spring!

Looking forward to the Designer Presentations tonight at AIA Event Space! Follow along with me through Instagram and Twitter as I post updates throughout Kansas City Fashion Week!
