Fall Camo | Summit Fair

Hey HEY Friends! I've been gone for a minute, but I'm back with another amazing fall look from the stores at Summit Fair! Last week my husband and I took a trip to sunny San Diego for one last summer beach get-a-way before fall officially began. It was amazing and such a good break for me to relax and refocus on all the content I'm excited to share with you all for fall! This is my favorite season! I love to find all the amazing trends, layering pieces, boots, scarves, and accessory pieces that will make you look ahhmazing this time of year!

Today's look features one of my favorite F/W '18 trends...Camo. It's everywhere this season! One of the first camo pieces I added to my wardrobe this fall was this button up jacket. It's loose fitting with large front pockets and I love the longer length. The most versatile way to style a jacket or sweater with a bolder print is by pairing it with some wardrobe basics, such as the 24/7 tees and sweaters from Maurices! These layering basics are SOOOO soft and comfortable -- you have to feel them and add a few to your wardrobe! I love to pair them with classic denim and then style with a pair of boots!

The Denim Edit | Cato

Hey Guys! Fall is almost here! I'm sure you are just like me and you're ready for new denim! I LOVE denim in the fall and winter months. It's a wardrobe staple for most women, myself included. Denim on denim has been such a huge faux pas for so long, but it's now become one of Fall's hottest fashion trends. The "Canadian Tuxedo" as some people call it! Let me share with you a few tricks for conquering this trend: 

*  DON'T pair the exact same denim washes together. Try a light wash with a super dark wash. I love the contrast of the two shades. 

* DO accessorize! It will look too simple if you don't. Try a statement belt, bag, or some fun jewelry pieces to spice things up! 

* DO keep the busted styles to a minimum. Too much whiskering, tears, rips, and washed-out details will be too much put all together. Keep the denim clean and crisp with little to no distressing.

* DON'T forget you can add some pattern. Layer a t-shirt underneath or add a scarf for a layered styled look!

Now Trending: Wide Legged Trousers | Summit Fair

Hey! Hey! This past weekend I had the opportunity to style several looks for a private event and fall fashion show at Macy's at Summit Fair! I was so excited to get my hands on brand new fall merchandise to style into the perfect looks for this fun event. If you follow along over on my insta-stories (@jana_meister) you may have seen me post some behind the scenes outfit planning and this look which I wore to the event on Saturday. I had several of you message me asking for outfit details and these wide legged pants are on MAJOR SALE (I'm talking Twenty Bucks!) so I wanted to get this outfit up on the blog as soon as possible for all of you!

Wide legged trousers are going to be a BIG trend this season. In general, wider legged pants and jeans are making a huge comeback! I can almost hear several of you taking a huge sigh of relief right now! I know a lot of women don't love the skinny pant and jean trend that has been so popular over the last several years. Skinnies are by no means disappearing, but they may be taking a little bit of a back seat to the wider styles this fall and winter.
