Spring Ultra Violet | Summit Fair

Hello! Happy Thursday! Today I am back with another spring look from the stores at Summit Fair! One of the biggest Color Trends this year includes ALL shades of purple, or Ultra Violet as Pantone has named it! When I am starting to add a new color to my wardrobe, I like to shop for pieces that can be easily styled with things I already own or that I could easily find new clothing pieces to pair with. Versatility is key in my wardrobe, I want to be able to wear things in a combination of many different outfits. 

Start by shopping for versatile items such as a jacket, cardigan, or purse in a trendy new color. I usually start here because these items are easy to pair with more neutral pieces such as a striped dress, a classic dark pair of jeans, a little black dress, or any of the other basic staples in your wardrobe. Let the colored pieces make the statement in any outfit.

Talbots Spring '18 Collection Launch

Hey Friends! Today I'm sharing this fresh spring look from Talbots! The brand new spring collection just launched featuring feminine eyelet fabrics, fun bold patterns, and lots of pretty girly colors - so you know I am ALL about it!

I tend to always gravitate towards classic silhouettes and styles when it comes to building my seasonal wardrobe. I love finding high quality pieces that I can style and restyle all throughout the spring and summer and that is why I always love the Talbots pieces. I think every girl needs a classic white skirt in her wardrobe for the warmer weather months. It is a wardrobe staple, much like the little black dress because it looks so chic and clean paired with just about anything especially pops of color and pattern.

S/S '18 KCFW | Pink Lady Vibes

Happy Monday Friends! Hope you all had a great weekend, I am not going to lie, I am totally still recovering from an exciting weekend celebrating my sister's "last fling before the ring"! We rented a Bed and Breakfast and had a blast checking out a (new to us) restaurant and then we went to a speakeasy, which was really cool and so fun! Now we are only two weeks until her big day...the countdown is on!!! Whoohoo! Can't wait to see her get married, she's going to  be absolutely so beautiful! 

Today's look was my second outfit from Kansas City Fashion Week. I wore this to the Saturday night runway shows and out for drinks and dinner with my friend Abby Wood Wear. It was so fun to rock this pretty black lace skirt paired with this satin pink jacket. I felt like a true "Pink Lady"! Fashion week is always a time for me to try some new trends and experiment with combining pieces in my wardrobe that I might not usually try to wear together. I think the best outfits come from creativity and going outside the box, plus it's always a lot of fun to see what other people wear to fashion week as well. It's inspiring to me to check out the outfits of not only the guests, but the designers, and of course the runway models!

Spring Blouses + Ruffled Sleeves | Summit Fair

Hello Fashion Friends! Today the weather is suppose to be absolutely beautiful in Kansas City...FINALLY!!! The news of warm weather has me SO happy and ready to wear all the spring pieces I've been holding on to just waiting for the sunshine to make it's appearance. 

Today's look features this pretty red and white striped top that caught my eye while I was shopping at Summit Fair this past weekend. One of my favorite spring trends is the full sleeved blouses (or puff sleeve) I've been seeing at several stores this season. I love the ruffled look of these tops paired with denim, spring skirts, and dress pants. This particular one I picked up has a cute tie waist that can be tied and criss-crossed a couple of different ways. 

If you haven't made it out to Summit Fair to do your spring time shopping haul yet, I would go soon! The stores are filled with so many new spring styles and fresh merchandise with a plenty of size assortments!  When I stopped by this passed weekend I  had a little bit of a shopping spree myself...whoops! Vacation is right around the corner and I know eventually this warm weather will be sticking around for good so I took advantage of it and scooped up several new things!

S/S '18 KCFW | Yellow is Having a Moment

Happy Monday Friends! Today I'm finally sharing my first of two looks from Kansas City Fashion Week. This season I was chosen as a Media Blogger for the Friday and Saturday night runway shows. I absolutely love attending each season and experiencing the biggest fashion event in Kansas City! It's such an inspiring and fun event that showcases the enormous amount of talent we have in the Midwest.  It's so amazing to see stylists, photographers, models, designers, and media come together all in the name of fashion!

This yellow dress caught my eye after I had seen several other bloggers rocking it on Instagram. I scooped it up originally to wear on vacation but I just couldn't stop thinking about it as I was getting ready for KC Fashion Week, so I decided to pair it with a suede jacket and heels to wear to the shows and I will restyle it with sandals for the beach later. I typically don't wear too many yellow pieces because I've always been told it's hard to wear yellow as a blonde, but when I tried it on I really liked it. Sometimes you just have to take a step outside of the box and for me fashion week is always that time. I was surprised when I ended up wearing one of the most popular colors in the F/W '18 designer collections. Yellow was most definatley having a moment this season!
