Midi Skirt & Red Shoes

This past weekend was sooo windy! I picked a rough day to try and take photos of this outfit. I was just so excited about the midi skirt that I found Thrifting for $4.00! 

I paired my bargain skirt with these fabulous red shoes I bought for New Years. I have been looking for a great pair of red high heels and found these at DSW! The ankle strap is my favorite part about them.

If you haven't invested in a Midi Skirt or Tea Length Skirt yet, you better! These A-line skirts are trending for Spring and I love the retro look, not to mention they are super comfortable. Its a great transition skirt from cooler temps into Spring as well. I have so many ideas on how to style this amazing skirt!

Fitness Fashion Inspiration

If you are like me and just about everyone else who made a New Year's resolution this year to take being healthy seriously and hit the gym regularly, then you are probably needing some inspiration right about now. I have really been slacking in the eating healthy department and I need to get back on track with my gym routine...so what I need is some inspirational motivation via Pinterest of course! It doesn't feel like it now but spring is just a few short weeks away.

Emerald Green + Faux Leather

Emerald has always been one of my favorite colors. I always gravitate towards it when shopping and I love to wear it especially in the spring and summer months. This weekend we were lucky to have a warmer 60 degree day and I couldn't wait to brighten up my wardrobe with this beautiful emerald TopShop dress I found while shopping in New York. I paired it with my faux leather leggings, that have been just a little too thin to wear over these past few weeks. If I didn't have spring fever before I definitely do now. I love these warmer winter days. (p.s. today it was 7 degrees when I woke up!?!)

I have been in love with a clothing line called BB DAKOTA ever since I was introduced to it at a Blogger Event at Halls last fall! HERE

Halls Kansas City carries a selection of this amazing clothing line at the Crown Center location and the BB DAKOTA website has a larger assortment. The line is designed by Gloria and Katharine Brandes. Each Katharine and Gloria have a different design aesthetic but they share a common goal of:

"bringing good, smart design to strong women and to create clothing whose sexiness emanates from its subtlety and sense of humor." - BB DAKOTA

I really like how this clothing line meshes together sexy and edgy. I tend to dress a bit more classically but I admire how this clothing line is able to merge both together.

WWD MAGIC is an amazing industry trade show in Las Vegas that happens twice a year. (February & August). BB DAKOTA is a WWD MAGIC brand that will be at the show in February. Back in college I had the opportunity to attend with a group of other fashion merchandising students. I learned so much about the wholesale side of the fashion industry. This was obviously back before I had a fashion blog or the words "social media" meant anything to me. I would love to have the opportunity to attend MAGIC again this time as a official WWD MAGIC Blogger!!! I would love to be able to continue to learn more about the industry and to continue to grow my blogging and social media skills.
