This past weekend I was invited to attend a designer preview for Kansas City Fashion Week with some of my fellow fashionista bloggers {Sarah of Sarah Scoop, Kim of kimberlyloc.com and Erin of Pretty, Polished, Perfect.}
KCFW Model Workshop was in full swing next door! Before interviewing the designers I watched all the models practicing their walks and getting tips from the pros to prep for the KCFW runway. This season's runway is longer than ever before...64'

Blush Bridal Runway Event 10 am
Janay Andrews designs eco-friendly bridal gowns. This will be her first time showing in Kansas City Fashion Week. I can't wait to see these dresses come down the runway, each one is unique and beautifully designed. The color pallet for this collection is pale mauve and creams.

Little Shell Designs - Michelle Kleineweber

Student Designer Showcase 2 pm
Michelle Kleineweber is a very talented student designer. She has only been showing her collections since April of last year and has already done several shows including Fringe Festival, RAW:Kansas City, and now her second season in Kansas City Fashion Week. This season Michelle found inspiration in the greens and blues of semi precious stones. Her collection will be all evening gowns!

Haus of Donna Faye - Tiffany Headley

Designer Showcase 7:30 pm
Tiffany Headley is from Omaha, Nebraska. This is her second time showing for Kansas City Fashion Week. Her Spring 2013 collection will be "Sophisticated Glam Rock" with colors of Nude, Black and Gold. She wants to focus this collection on interchangeable pieces that can be worn from season to season. She finds inspiration in designers such as Chanel, Alexander McQueen, and John Paul Gaultier.
