I was so excited when I heard that Style and Pepper was hosting a Pepperologie Brunch in Kansas City! I had seen past photos and blog recaps from events she has hosted before and always hoped she would bring a Pepperologie to KC! Pepperologie is a hands on workshop that features creative and practical lessons. The brunch was a smaller version of the usual workshop and featured two hands on lessons from Emily of Emmy-Ray Handmaker of Things and Jamie from Jamie Miller Hair Parlour
Mimosas, Bloody Mary's, and a plethora of amazing breakfast options were served at The Farmhouse located near the River Market. (300 Delaware Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64105). The food was amazing and the atmosphere of the restaurant was so great! It was perfect for our table of bloggers to chat and snap pictures.
If you remember, back in November I was lucky to win the Style and Pepper Pinterest Giveaway and flew to New York to spent the day shopping with Jessie! We had such a great time hanging out and checking out all the fun stores in NY, so I was super excited to see her again! She is such a fun, genuine, and easy going person. I adore her!
.
Jessie {Style and Pepper} started the brunch off with a confidence building activity. She asked each of us to take two pieces of pink paper and write down the one thing that we felt the most confident about in ourselves. On the other piece of paper write down our "Meanie Mongers" the thing that we are the least confident about with ourselves, or the thing that holds us back from being our best. At the end of the brunch she took all the "Meanie Mongers" and ripped them up into tiny pieces. She asked us all not to focus on those negatives that keep us from being our best, but instead to keep those positive things in prospective. It's so good to hear that everyone feels that way sometimes!
The beautiful center pieces were gifts for each person to take home!
Emily {Handmaker of Things} showed us how to make beautiful arrangements from pre-packaged flowers! I couldn't wait to go home and try out the tips I learned from her. In fact, I have made two arrangements already from flowers I've picked up from the floral shop at the Grocery store! Check out her blog with all the details {HERE}
Next, we all learned some Spring hair tutorials from Jamie Miller Hair Parlour. Just a few tools can make a ton of fun hairstyles. Dry Shampoo, Bobbie Pins, a Teasing Brush, and Styling Pomade were the only things needed to create some fun up-dos and side braids. NO hot tools required! I love that! Of course, Jamie made it seem effortless because she is a Pro but, I am determined to work some more side braids, and deep side parts into my hair routine.
So glad that Lauren {Classy and Fab Girl} and Caitlin {Gussied Up} could make it to the brunch too!
Loving all the pics girl! I really wish I could have made it to the brunch..next time!
