Last week I was invited to speak on a panel for the Beginner's Pluck Book Tour in
partnership with Yellow Co. and The Riveter! The Author, Liz Bohannon is the
founder of Sseko Designs and
a Forbes Top
20 Speaker! To say I was honored and absolutely terrified would be an
understatement! Taking this leap of faith to share my entrepreneurial journey
and my biggest "Pluck Up" with a very crowded room of people (they
added chairs right before we began) was something that was so outside of my
comfort zone, but I knew that I needed to push myself and take this opportunity
-- boy am I glad I did!! I've never felt so inspired!
I love to share all of my fashion and
style with you here on Jana Style Blog, but as you know building a dream is
never easy. There are ups and downs -- lots of mistakes made, and a few really
amazing highlights along the way. The highlights are what you usually see. The
fun pretty pictures and the achievements, but there are also long hours working
behind the scenes, planning, writing blog posts, financial and legal things,
and of course creating content, PLUS working my full-time job to support myself
and this side hustle!
One thing I learned while listening to the
entrepreneurial hustlers in the room last night, is that we are all just
chasing our dreams, putting one foot in front of the other every day, and we
ALL make mistakes! It was so refreshing to hear another side of the story and
to remind myself that this dream of mine is pretty special. I appreciate all
who stop by here at Jana Style Blog and Instagram to see what
I've got going on. It means so much more to me than I could ever tell
you.
