I was so excited when Salon Ami asked me to come by and check out their salon and also to experiment with some hair and makeup trends for the holidays. I recruited Mackynze from Maurices at Summit Fair to be my hair and makuep model because...well, she has gorgeous skin and hair! Salon Ami is an Aveda salon that specializes in beauty and wellness with a holistic approach. I love their all natural derived, organic hair, skin, and body care products.

For Mackynze's Holiday hair look we decided to do a loose natural curl. First, all of her hair was curled with a curling iron and then brushed out to create a very natural, wavy loose curl look.
Braids and twists are very popular this season. Mackynze's look wasn't complete without a fun side twist to sweep back a section of her hair. I loved this style on her! It's a simple and elegant style which could be worn on long or short hair.
Next, Amy from Salon Ami created a very pretty makeup look using two of the Aveda's Holiday gift sets. The Twinkling Eyes eyeshadow pallet was perfect to give Mackynze's eyes a little bit of holiday sparkle.
Then, a bright lip color to make her lips shine. Amy started with the Aveda Lip Saver to protect Mack's lips and give them hydration which is very important during the cold winter months.
Start in the middle of the lip and work the color outwards. A small amount goes a long way! The gorgeous berry color creates such a perfect holiday look!
