Designer Denim Love

Don't you love a gorgeous pair designer jeans?!? I can't get enough of the wash, fit, and construction of a great pair of jeans! As, I've said before, a great fitting, dark washed, and good quality pair of jeans is one of the best things you can add to your wardrobe but, sometimes the price of these jeans makes it hard to make the plunge or purchase. It's hard to spend $100+ on one pair of jeans, at lease for me it is :) I recently discovered a fabulous store called MODE that specialized in designer and high end fashion at closeout prices. Designer denim at half the retail price...what!?! and the great thing is it's not because the items have been damaged or returned ect. it's because it's all overstock from the designer labels we love! MODE boutique is packed with denim, tops, shorts, and accessories. I couldn't believe the price points on some the pieces as I browsed the racks and racks of items in the boutique. You've got to check this place out!

Some Tips for Purchasing Jeans:

*Get the most for your money by purchasing dark wash or black jeans with minimal detailing - these jeans are more versatile and are a wardrobe essential. They will easily weave into your existing wardrobe and can be paired with multiple tops, jackets, and sweaters.

*Figure out what your body shape is and what styles will look best on you -- this might mean trying a several different jeans in different rises, washes, and cuts to see what flatters you the most

*Take a friend with you when you go shopping or snap pics on your cell phone so you can look through them and determine what styles look best on your body type/shape (or you can ask me to join you! I'd love to be your shopping pal and pull some styles for you!)

*Do you know what your measurements are? I know, I know, as a women sometimes you don't want to know this, but when purchasing jeans it's pretty important to know your TRUE size. Before you head out shopping Use a flexible cloth measurement tape to measure yourself. Hold it a little bit loosely around yourself when determining your correct measurements. Taking the time to measure your waist, hips, and inseam is important when looking for a great fitting pair of jeans.
  1. Waist: Measure at the smallest point width-wise, usually just above the navel.
  2. Hips: Measure around the widest part of the hipbones.
  3. Inseam: Measure the length of the inner leg, from the top of the thigh to the ankle.
These tips should help you feel more prepared when you head out to the store to try on jeans! Let me know if you have any other questions when purchasing denim. I'd love to help!
